Welcome to our website about the proposed Masterplan for Land North of South Woodham Ferrers.
Chelmsford City Council (CCC) is seeking local views on the proposed Masterplan for the site, which is allocated for development in the recently adopted Chelmsford Local Plan as Policy SGS10.
This website has been prepared by the site promoters (Countryside, Essex County Council Property and the Speakman family / Bellway) in agreement with CCC. It provides detailed information on the preparation of the Masterplan (which has been submitted by the promoters to the CCC).

We would like to thank everyone who submitted feedback on the Masterplan for SGS10. The comments provided are now being processed by CCC and will be taken into consideration as the Masterplan progresses.
The Masterplan is being jointly prepared and promoted by three main parties; Countryside, ECC Property and the Speakman family / Bellway.

Our business is focussed on making places people love and we are already doing this elsewhere nearby, at our schemes at Beaulieu in Chelmsford and St Luke’s Park in Runwell. Countryside is working closely with Essex County Council Property and the Speakman family / Bellway to jointly develop a Masterplan that secures maximum benefit for South Woodham Ferrers and takes full account of Policy SGS10 in the Local Plan.

The Sainsbury’s supermarket and health centre identified on the plan below in light yellow are part of the allocated Masterplan. There are no proposed changes to these parts of the site.
