Urban Analysis

South Woodham Ferrers has a clear and defined urban edge with a notable lack of any sizeable green space within the town. This is in contrast to the edges of the town which comprise green open spaces.

Burnham Road is the primary vehicular access point for the town, but currently acts as a barrier to pedestrian movement, with very few crossing opportunities. The railway line running east-west though the northern part of the town is the most notable cause of severance within the town.
